That a pretty big achievement in my books. He made an honest living and brought up his children the best he could. That’s something to be very proud of and I am extremely proud of him and Emily.
Although his story is over, he lives on in our hearts.
May he rest peacefully.
Alfred Wheeler

Hello, Florence Kate Wheeler was my great grandmother. Although the census records of 1911 showed that her husband name was George his actual given name was John Henry (born in Coleshill not Southampton as stated in the census).
Thank you for the information that you have shared regarding our shared ancestry. It was so lovely to find more and it was a very enjoyable read.
One of the things that I picked up on the probate records was that Alfred Wheeler (the father of Alfred William Wheeler) left £2749 15s 11d which went to his son Albert William Wheeler. It seems a lot of money for the times and I wonder where it went, I hope it was shared! or at the very least went to his widow. Kind Regards, Tracy
