“Silent Stand”

I walk alone on this quiet street,
Where silence lingers and shadows meet.
I am the one they cannot see,
A stranger in a world that’s never free.

They pass me by, their laughter loud,
While I stand apart, beneath the crowd.
I try to speak, but words fall still,
A voice unheard, against my will.

In the echoes of a life I never chose,
I wear a mask, nobody knows.
The world is warm with ties that bind,
But I’m adrift, a heart confined.

I long for a place where I belong,
Where I’m not the note that doesn’t belong in the song.
Yet here I stand, on the edge of all,
A soul too small to break the wall.

The nights grow long, the days are cold,
And in this silence, I feel so old.
But in the ache, I’ve come to find,
The strength to carry, though left behind.
