For Freedom, For King, For Country.

Beneath the sky so wide, so free,
beats Britain’s heart, her destiny.
I speak with pride, I walk my way,
because of those who won the day.

Our forebears, steadfast, brave, and true,
through storm and fire, they battled through.
For King, for country, side by side,
they faced the dark, they turned the tide.

They gave their youth, their hope, their breath,
they braved the guns, they faced their death.
So we might stand, so we might live,
a nation proud, with more to give.

O Britain, island bold and fair,
your banner ripples in the air.
The Union Jack, red, white, and blue,
our shining emblem, proud and true.

We honour all who heard the call,
who gave their strength, who gave their all.
Their sacrifice will never fade,
their courage lives in what they made.

So raise your heads, let voices ring,
with freedom’s song, let Britain sing!
For liberty’s gift is ours to keep,
a promise strong, a vow made deep.

Proud to be British, proud to be free,
forever bound to their memory.
They fell… so we might rise.
They gave… so we might live.

Through fields of fire, they marched unbroken,
with steel in hearts and faith unspoken.
Through mud, through blood, through fear, through flame,
they carried forth our nation’s name.

They did not fight for fleeting glory,
nor die for song, nor tale, nor story.
They fought because the cause was right,
because freedom is worth the fight!
Because silence is a tyrant’s chain,
and they broke it, never bound again.

Their blood is the root of our liberty,
their triumph the spirit of our peace.

O children of tomorrow, remember,
the laughter you enjoy was forged in tears,

the freedom you hold was bought with lives.
We are the heirs of their steadfast sacrifice,

the guardians of a dream.

And Britain shall endure.
