On The Shores Of Normandy.

On the shores of Normandy, in the dawn's early light,
Brave soldiers prepared to stand and fight,
Their hearts filled with courage, their spirits high,
As they faced the battle of their lives.

The boats approached, the ramparts fell,
As they charged onto that beach, a living hell,
Through the screams and the gunfire, they pressed on,
Their determination unwavering, their bond strong.

The sacrifices made that day, so great,
But their resolve never wavered, never gave in to fate,
For they fought for freedom, for their land,
Their bravery and valor, forever grand.

We honor them now, those heroes of the past,
Whose memories will forever last,
Their legacy lives on, in our hearts and minds,
As we remember their courage, their sacrifices, their binds.

On this day we remember, we pay our respects,
To those who fought and died, and those who still reflect,
On the price of freedom, on the cost of war,
On the lessons learned from that day, forevermore.
