Just a little update as promised.
Alfred Newell and Sarah Watts nee Tigg, marriage certificate, finally arrived.
It took its time that’s for sure but I can now confirm that Alfred Newell married his second wife Sarah Emily, on the 13th March 1915, at The Abbey Congregational Church, Romsey Hampshire, England, now known as the Abbey Reunited Reform Church or the Church by the arch.
Alfred was a 57 years old widower, working as a Gardener, not domestic. He was residing at 9, Cherville Street, Romsey, Hampshire.
Sarah Emily Watts nee Tigg, was 48 years old and also a widower. She was residing at 29 Cherville Street, Romsey, Hampshire.
Both their fathers, Joseph Newell and George Felix Tigg, were deceased.
Their witnesses were, William John Turner and Louisa Finch.
