Welcome back to the “Nuts About DNA Afghan” Square series, where I’ll be sharing links, colour order and modifications for each square I’ve made for my Mums blanket.

As I’ve mentioned before I’ll be keeping these posts short and sweet, so here goes with squares 5 – 10.

Modifications to achieve size and stitch count –
Round 9: bpdc (not bptr) into the third dc of the two petals.
Round 12: trc instead of dc.
Round 14: IN BACK LOOPS dc all round in place of sc. 2ch in the corner instead of hdc. 41 dc per side.
Round 15 (additional round): IN BACK LOOPS (2hdc, 2ch, 2hdc) per corner, hdc all round. 44 dc per side.

Modifications to achieve size and stitch count –
Worked 12 rounds to achieve size.
Rounds 7, 8, 9 and 10: (2HDC, 2CH, 2HDC) per corner, skip first stitch, HDC all round in back loops
Round 11: (1DC, 2CH, 1DC) per corner, skip first stitch, DC all round (41DC per side)
Round 12: (2HDC, 2CH, 2HDC) per corner, skip first stitch, HDC all round (44 HDC per side).

Round 19 – Back loop dc across, 2 dc chain 2, 2 dc in the corners, miss hidden stitch.
Round 20 – 1 hdc, chain 2, 1 hdc, miss hidden stitch, hdc across.
Round 21 – 2 sc, chain 2, 2 sc, sc across.
Round 22 – 2hdc, chain 2, 2hdc in the corner, 1 hdc in hidden stitch, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc across.

Round 13 (additional) all hdc, 2hdc, 2ch, 2hd, 1 hdc in hidden stitch, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc across to the corner.
