On December's fifth, the world takes pause,
Enchanted by winter’s gentle cause.
The nights grow long, the stars shine bright,
Guiding us through the velvet night.
Snowflakes dance in a quiet refrain,
Whispering dreams through each windowpane.
Evergreens stand, so proud, so tall,
Guardians of nature’s winter ball.
The air is crisp, the spirit light,
A promise of love in the soft moonlight.
Each heart beats with a growing cheer,
For Christmas Day is drawing near.
Laughter bubbles, a warm embrace,
Joy reflected in every face.
The fifth reminds, in its quiet way,
Of peace that grows with each passing day.
So let this moment, serene, unfold,
A treasure more precious than silver or gold.
For December’s fifth is a gentle start,
To a season of light within the heart.
