“Eternal Vigil”

In the hush of night when shadows weave,
A gentle spirit sighs, reluctant to leave,
With whispers soft as a lover’s breath,
I linger here, beyond the veil of death.

Through the moonlit window, my gaze does fall,
On the ones I cherished, the ones I call,
Their laughter echoes in the quiet air,
Yet they cannot see me, though I am there.

I watch them rise with the morning sun,
In their daily dance, the life they've begun,
Each fleeting moment, each joy, each tear,
I cradle close, for I am still near.

When the storms of sorrow sweep through their days,
I wrap them in warmth, in tender rays,
A whisper of comfort, a soft, guiding light,
In the darkest of hours, I hold them tight.

In dreams I visit, in colors so bright,
A fleeting embrace in the stillness of night,
With every heartbeat, with every sigh,
I’m the love that remains, though I’ve said goodbye.

For love knows no bounds, no time, no space,
In the fabric of memory, I find my place,
So when they look skyward, searching for me,
I’m the breeze in the trees, I’m the waves in the sea.

Forever I watch, through the ebb and flow,
A guardian spirit, their hearts to know,
In the tapestry of life, I weave and I thread,
A ghost of their love, never truly dead.
