My 101st Granny Square was the Savannah by Polly Plum.
My plan was just to use, Scheepjes Stonewashed in, Rose Quartz, Corundum Ruby and Garnet but after the first few rounds I felt they blended together a little two much, so I threw Moon Stone into the mix.
In hindsight I wish I had re-made the first few rows as the detail is a little lost.
Lesson learnt that details will be lost using these three colours together especially Corundum Ruby and Garnet.
Colours used per round, were,
Round 1 – Rose Quartz Round 2 – Corundum Ruby
Round 3 – Garnet
Round 4 – Rose Quartz
Round 5 – Moon Stone
Round 6 – Corundum Ruby
Round 7 – Moon Stone
Round 8- Garnet
Round 9 – Rose Quartz
Round 10 – Corundum Ruby
Round 11 – Moon Stone
Round 12 – Garnet
Round 13 – Moon Stone
Round 14 – Rose Quartz
Round 15 – Garnet
I once again had to make modifications for size and stitch count by making 3 extra rounds.
Round 13 – I made Half Double Crochets (hdc) in third loop across and then 2 hdc, chain 2, 2 hdc in corners.
Round 14 – I Back Post Double Crocheted across and made 2 dc, chain 2, 2dc in corners.
Round 15 – I made, 2hdc, chain 2, 2hdc in corners, I missed the hidden stitch and made Back Loop Half Double Crochets (blhdc) across. (44hdc)
After a very soft block, Savannah was ready to add to huge pile of Granny Squares.
The Savannah square was such a easy calming make. The pattern was flawless as always and super easy to follow.
